Top 5 News and Magazines Apps on Android in Finland, Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, Finland's Android platform saw notable trends in the performance of the top five News and Magazines applications. According to data from Sensor Tower, these apps exhibited diverse patterns in downloads, revenue, and active user engagement.

The Iltalehti app from Alma Media Finland showed a fluctuating weekly revenue, starting with approximately $8K in early July and peaking at $8.7K in mid-July before ending the quarter at around $6.3K. Download numbers remained relatively stable, averaging just above 1K weekly, while active users hovered consistently around 46K, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

IS – Ilta-Sanomat, another popular app, experienced a gradual increase in revenue, culminating in a weekly peak of $6.6K in early September. Downloads varied slightly, maintaining a range close to 1K per week, while active users showed a slight decrease from 139K to 123K by the end of September.

The Helsingin Sanomat app witnessed a steady revenue trend, reaching approximately $4.3K by late September. Weekly downloads remained within the range of 800 to 1.2K, while active users saw a slight dip, starting at 176K and ending the quarter at around 170K.

Aamulehti recorded a notable increase in revenue, peaking at $2.5K in mid-September. Downloads fluctuated, peaking at 675 in mid-August, whereas no data was available for active users.

Lastly, Satakunnan Kansa Länsi-Suomi demonstrated a stable performance, with revenue peaking at $1.3K in mid-August. Downloads maintained a steady rate, averaging around 250 per week, and active user data was not provided.
